How much Jordanian citizenship costs in 2026
A Jordanian passport is not bought with a contribution: you need a new project outside the capital from $710,000 with 10 jobs for 3 years. We break down what the path costs and what stays yours.
| Key point | 2026 figures |
|---|---|
| Minimum investment | a new project outside the capital from $710,000 |

Jordan grants citizenship not for a contribution to the budget but for real investment that creates jobs. The most accessible route is a new project outside the capital from 500,000 Jordanian dinars, about $710,000, with 10 Jordanian employees. The investor first gets a temporary passport for 3 years and citizenship once the project has run for that period.
Below are the cost items, what the family gets, the timeline by step and what happens to the money if conditions are not met. We will calculate the full amount for your family online.
We will calculate online the full cost for your family: the contribution, fees for each member and due diligence.
What the cost is made of
| Cost item | Amount | Who pays |
|---|---|---|
| Investment | from $705,220 | main applicant |
| Salaries and social insurance for 10 employees | per staffing plan, for the whole project term | main applicant |
| Company registration and project licences | agency rates | once per application |
| Source of funds and due diligence check | check rates | once per application |
| Translations and legalisation of documents | per document | each family member |
The $710,000 is an investment in your own project, not a payment to the state: it remains your asset. But project running costs come on top: salaries and social insurance contributions for 10 employees for the whole term, rent and licences.
The share option is more expensive - new shares worth 1.5 million dinars, about $2,115,700, held for 5 years and no more than 10% in one company - but citizenship is granted right after the purchase.
A 3-year project and 10 jobs: the risk is reporting, not the amount
The biggest losses in the Jordanian programme come not from fees but from unmet conditions: jobs below 90% of the requirement, a project closed before 3 years, shares sold before 5 years. Murblz checks the source of funds, chooses the project or share package, sets up staff reporting and handles the temporary passport and citizenship application for the whole family.
How much it costs for a family of 2, 3 and 4
| Family | Minimum |
|---|---|
| Two adults | from $710,000 (spouse included) |
| Two adults and a child | from $710,000 (spouse and child included) |
| Two adults and two children | from $710,000 (spouse and children included) |
The spouse, minor children and financially dependent parents get citizenship with the investor at no extra investment. They need marriage and birth certificates, and parents need proof of dependency.
What the cost does not include
- salaries, contributions and project rent for the whole term;
- flights and trips to Jordan to launch the project;
- translations and legalisation for each family member;
- taxes on project profit;
- support: we quote it after reviewing the documents.
Timeline by step
| Step | Time |
|---|---|
| Documents, source of funds check and choice of investment | 1-3 months |
| Project registration, hiring 10 employees | several months |
| Temporary passport | after approval |
| Running the project while keeping the jobs | 3 years |
| Citizenship | after 3 years |
The project route takes about 3 years in total. Under the share option citizenship is granted right after the purchase.
Is money refunded if you are refused
The investment is not spent: the project and shares remain yours. But if the project closes before 3 years or Jordanian staff fall below 90% of the requirement, the conditions for citizenship are not met.
Shares cannot be sold before 5 years. Registration, check and translation costs are not refunded on refusal.
Comparison with neighbouring programmes
| Country | Route | Minimum for one | Time | Dual citizenship |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Egypt | Contribution from $250,000 | from $260,000 | 6-12 months, often longer | allowed |
| Turkey | Real estate from $400,000 | from $408,310 | A few months after the purchase, no fixed deadline | allowed |
| North Macedonia | Special economic interest: fund investment | from $224,500 | No set deadline, approvals are rare | allowed |
Egypt has a lower threshold, but the contribution is non-refundable and the passport is just as weak for travel. Turkey requires $400,000 in property, and North Macedonia an investment in a fund, but its programme issues almost no passports.
Who the Jordanian passport suits
The Jordanian passport opens about 50 visa-free destinations, mostly in the Middle East, Asia and Africa. The programme suits those doing business in the region who value ties with the Gulf states rather than visa-free travel to Europe. Arabic and exams are not required.
