Company registration in Hungary
A Hungarian LLC is registered electronically by the court, and under the simplified procedure the decision comes within 1 working day. We cover capital, timing, tax and documents.
The main company form in Hungary is the limited liability company (Kft). Under the Civil Code its share capital is at least HUF 3 million, about $9,180 at the rate of 5 October 2026, rounded up ($1 = HUF 326.94). Registration is electronic: the application goes to the court of registration for the company's seat within 30 days of signing the deed of foundation. Under the simplified procedure with sample documents the court decides within 1 working day, according to the Hungarian judiciary.
Tax
Hungarian corporate tax is 9% of the positive tax base, according to the Hungarian Tax Administration. VAT and employer contributions are calculated separately if the company trades or hires staff.

What goes into the deed of foundation
The deed of foundation of an LLC states the name, the registered seat, the activities, the members and their shares, the share capital and how it is paid in, and the managing director. For simplified registration within 1 working day the deed follows the sample form, and a lawyer files it with the court electronically. Departures from the sample form move the application to the ordinary procedure, so we choose the form before signing.
What documents you need
Passports of the members and director, the memorandum or founding decision, proof of the company address and beneficial ownership details; for a corporate member, its registry extract translated and apostilled. For the bank, a business description and source of funds documents.

Who gets refused

The law does not stop you registering a company on your own. But mistakes cost more than the fees: a deed of foundation without the lawyer's countersignature the law requires, an application filed with the court more than 30 days after signing, capital paid in late and missing beneficial owner details.
