Company registration in Italy in 2026

A limited liability company with capital from €1 in the simplified form or from €10,000 in the standard form, registration with the chamber of commerce business register and 24% corporate tax. We handle it end to end.

In Italy a company is most often formed as a limited liability company. There are two options: a simplified company with capital from €1 to €10,000, formed only by individuals using a standard deed, and a standard one with capital from €10,000, about $11,300. For the simplified company the law removed the notary fee and the stamp and secretarial duties: what remains is the fixed registration tax and the chamber of commerce fee for the first entry, about €200.

The company pays 24% corporate income tax and the 3.9% regional production tax, which regions can move by up to 0.92 points. VAT is 22%.

About $230 in fees, but no notary will start without an Italian tax code

The law does not stop you from registering a company on your own. But mistakes cost more than the fees: no Italian tax code for a founder or director, a simplified company for a corporate founder although only individuals may use it, documents without an apostille and certified Italian translation, an activity that needs a licence or municipal notice before trading. Murblz support removes these risks: we obtain the tax codes, choose the company form, prepare the deed with the notary, enter the company in the chamber of commerce register, register for VAT and check licences. We guarantee professional work and a transparent process, and in most cases a result on the first application.

Company registration in Italy with our support starts from $8,700; a manager will calculate the total in the chat.

Why registration gets delayed

  • A foreign founder or director has no Italian tax code.
  • The simplified form is chosen for a corporate founder, although it is available only to individuals.
  • Foreigners' documents lack an apostille or a certified Italian translation.
  • The activity needs a licence or a notice to the municipality before trading starts.
