How to get an Armenia visa in 3 working days in 2026
Armenia sorts travellers into four groups by citizenship: visa-free, open e-visa, conditional e-visa and invitation only. Here is which group you are in, what the e-visa costs, which documents each route asks for and how residence permit holders now enter without a visa.
In short
- Visa-free for 180 days a year: citizens of the EU, the US, the UK, Brazil, China, Iran and all six Gulf states.
- E-visa in 3 working days: Canada, Türkiye, Indonesia, Jordan, Lebanon and dozens of other countries apply online.
- Conditional e-visa: Egypt, Iraq, India, Morocco, Algeria, Tunisia, Vietnam and the Philippines need a residence permit or visa of a listed country, or a full set of papers.
- Invitation only: Syria, Libya, Palestine, Yemen, Sudan, Pakistan and Nigeria apply at an embassy with an invitation from Armenia.
- New until 1 July 2027: a residence permit from the US, the EU, Schengen or a Gulf state lets nationals of 111 countries enter without a visa.
In detail
To get an Armenia visa, most travellers who need one apply online and receive an e-visa in 3 working days, while citizens of the EU, the US, the UK and the Gulf states need no visa at all. The rule that applies to you depends on a single line in your passport: citizenship. According to official data, the country sorts travellers into four groups, and the paperwork ranges from nothing at all to an invitation filed in Yerevan before you can even book a flight. This guide takes each group in turn, then shows what changes once you plan to stay longer than a trip.

Four groups by citizenship
| Group | Countries (ordinary passports) | How you enter |
|---|---|---|
| Visa-free | EU member states, the US, the UK, Brazil, China, Iran, the UAE, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, Bahrain, Oman, Kuwait | Passport only, up to 180 days in a year |
| Open e-visa | Canada, Türkiye, Indonesia, Jordan, Lebanon and others | E-visa, embassy or visa at the border |
| Conditional e-visa | Egypt, Iraq, India, Morocco, Algeria, Tunisia, Vietnam, the Philippines | E-visa or border visa with a residence permit or visa of a listed country; otherwise a full document set |
| Invitation only | Syria, Libya, Palestine, Yemen, Sudan, Pakistan, Nigeria | Visa in advance at an embassy, by invitation |
Your passport must stay valid for the whole stay in every group. Citizens of countries not listed here check their own line in the official visa table before booking.
The e-visa in three working days
The e-visa is the route the authorities themselves recommend. You fill in the form online, upload a passport scan and a photo, pay the fee by card and receive the visa by email. Processing takes three working days, counted from the working day after you apply, so a Thursday application usually lands the following Wednesday. Print the visa and carry it with your passport.

The fees are fixed in Armenian drams. Dollar amounts below use Google's rate on 7 November 2026, $1 = AMD 360.8, rounded up.
| Visa | Fee |
|---|---|
| Single entry, up to 21 days | $9 (AMD 3,000) |
| Single entry, up to 120 days | $42 (AMD 15,000) |
| Multiple entry, up to 60 days within 6 months | $56 (AMD 20,000) |
| Multiple entry, up to 120 days within a year | $120 (AMD 40,000) |
| Transit, single or double | $28 (AMD 10,000) or $50 (AMD 18,000) |
A family of four on 120-day visas pays $170 (AMD 60,000) in fees. The same visas can be issued at the land border and at the airport for the open group, but a refusal there ends the trip on the spot, while an online refusal leaves time to fix the file.
The conditional e-visa
Egypt, Iraq, India, Morocco, Algeria, Tunisia, Vietnam and the Philippines sit in a middle group. The simple route opens to those who hold a valid residence permit or visa from the EU or Schengen states, the US, the UK, Canada, Australia, New Zealand, South Korea or Japan, or a residence permit from one of the six Gulf states. With travel insurance and that document, the e-visa follows the standard three-day track, and the visa can also be issued at the border.
Without such a document, citizens of Egypt, Iraq and India still apply online, but the file grows: travel insurance, a return ticket, an invitation from a party in Armenia (a tour company, university, employer or other local organisation) and proof of funds, such as a bank statement for the last three months. A one-way ticket is enough for students, workers and other justified cases.
Who gets a visa only by invitation
Citizens of Syria, Libya, Palestine, Yemen, Sudan, Pakistan and Nigeria obtain the visa in advance at an Armenian embassy or consulate, and only against an invitation. A company registered in Armenia, a state body or an accredited international organisation files the invitation with the foreign ministry; a private individual files it with the migration service. The invitation carries its own fee of $14 (AMD 5,000), and the embassy then issues the visa at the standard rate.
An invitation is filed in Armenia, not by you
Three mistakes cost the most on this route: an invitation from a party that has no reason to host you, a visa type that does not match the purpose of the trip, and a short stay booked when the real plan is to live and work in Armenia. Murblz prepares the invitation through a company registered in Armenia, matches the visa to the purpose and plans the residence permit that follows. We guarantee professional work and a transparent process.
The cost of support depends on your citizenship, the purpose of the trip and the size of the family; a manager will calculate it in the chat.
Residence permit holders: the new exemption
From 1 July 2026 to 1 July 2027, nationals of 111 countries enter Armenia without a visa if they hold a residence permit from the US, an EU or Schengen state, the UAE, Bahrain, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, Kuwait or Oman. The permit must stay valid for at least six months from the day of entry, and the stay is capped at 180 days within a year. Children under 18 travel on the same rule.
Border officers accept only a physical card or a sticker in the passport. Digital permits, phone screens and scans are refused. The card must show in Latin script the document title, your name, surname, nationality and date of birth, with the validity dates in the Gregorian calendar.
Arab citizens: the short version
Gulf passports need no visa. Jordan and Lebanon use the open e-visa. Egypt and Iraq take the conditional e-visa, and Morocco, Algeria and Tunisia follow the same logic with a residence permit or visa of a listed country. Syria, Libya, Palestine, Yemen and Sudan apply by invitation, unless they live in the US, the EU or the Gulf and qualify for the new exemption. The full breakdown country by country is in our Arabic guide to the Armenia visa.

From visa to residence
A visa covers a trip of up to 120 days. Visa-free visitors count 180 days in any year. Anyone who wants to live, work or open a company in Armenia moves to a residence permit, which is filed inside the country and runs for one, five or ten years depending on the grounds. Work, a company, family ties, property and Armenian roots all qualify. Our step-by-step relocation plan covers housing, bank accounts and the order of filings, and the guide to working in Armenia explains who needs a work permit.
How Murblz handles the Armenia visa
A visa file is short, but a weak invitation, a missing bank statement or a digital residence card turns a three-day process into a refusal and a lost flight. It is more reliable with professionals. Murblz checks which group your passport falls into, prepares the e-visa or the invitation through a company registered in Armenia, and plans the move to residence when the trip becomes a relocation, with a clear, transparent process and a date for every step. The cost is available on request from a manager.
